This summer, we will hold tryouts for the Best Song in Chicagoland (and beyond) at:

The Atlantic Pub in Chicago Thursday, Aug. 5
McNally's Pub in St. Charles Thursday, Aug. 19
Bridie McKenna's Pub in Highwood Thursday, Aug. 26
Three Nights! Four finalists will be chosen EACH NIGHT.

Winners at these venues will be chosen by POPULAR vote, so bring your family and friends.

You could win $1,000!

GRAND PRIZE

$1000 cash, song recording session at Vital Records and song distribution by Rego Records

Second Prize $300 cash

Third Prize $200 cash

Here are the Rules:

• All contestants must be present at the start of the Contest
• All songs must be original and unrecorded
• Songwriters must be unsigned with a record label
• $50 non-refundable entry fee is required to enter
• We highly suggest you register prior to the tryouts night
• Performance on Aug. 5, 19 and 26th is limited to no more than one singer and one accompanist
• Four winners from each pub will be decided by popular vote
• Contestants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent
• Contestants will perform by a random drawing
• There is a cap of 15 entries per night
• Performance for finals is limited to no more than one drummer, one accompanist and two singers
• Finalists will compete at the IAHC on Nov. 6
• Finalists will be decided by four judges and one consensus popular vote by attendees
• IAN will record interviews with all finalists to be shown Nov. 6, 2010
• Finalists will perform in the order determined by random drawing
